台北市立聯合醫院陳哲民醫師指出，國民健康局已將「腹部肥胖」列為代謝症候群的危險因子。他建議男女應分別將腰圍維持在90、80公分，避免成為早期死亡
的高危險群。
這項研究對象涵蓋九個歐洲國家，調查人數近36萬人。研究發現，腰圍尺寸是死亡風險一項「非常有效力的指標」。一般是用體脂測量（BMI）指數，測量可能死於心血管疾病或癌症高危險群，檢查他們是否有過胖情形。
其中「臀腰比」和單純測量腰圍，都是查出高危險群的好辦法。BMI值在正常範圍，但腰圍尺寸卻大幅超過平均值的人，都是早期死亡的高危險群。
這項研究團隊包括倫敦帝國理工大學教授，他們定期追蹤平均51歲的志願參與者，十年後其中有14723人死亡。
研究結果表示，腰圍超過119公分的男性，死亡率是腰圍小於80公分男性的兩倍。腰圍超過99公分的女性，死亡率也是腰圍小於64.7公分的兩倍。
衛生署在民國92年便公布，男性腰圍超過90公分，女性腰圍超過80公分，就達到肥胖的標準。陳哲民指出，由於飲食西化與生活型態改變，台灣每三人就有一人體重過重。他建議，民眾減重原來體重的一成，飲食少鹽多蔬果，並且戒菸。他說；「腰圍八九十，健康常維持。」

有時肥胖不是只有體重超重的問題，還有體脂肪、腰圍、內臟脂肪等其他評估肥胖的方法，所以不是只有體重標準就代表不肥胖，唯有這四項都在標準才代表是健康的。
追求健康是活著最重要的指標，身上拖著一堆疾病活的也不快樂。缺少運動加上營養攝取不均會導致代謝症侯群，而代謝症侯群是所有慢性病的前召，所有的麻煩都起源於不起眼的徵召，肚子大不是只有啤酒肚和福氣啦，而是有著更深的健康危害。

      <title><![CDATA[ 20 Super Foods You Need to Build Muscle & Lose Fat]]></title>

you need a variety of proteins, veggies, fruits, carbs, and healthy
fats. Eating protein helps building &amp; maintaining muscle. But it
also helps fat loss: protein has a higher thermic effect than carbs/fats.

Eating fats also helps fat loss: your body holds fat if you don&rsquo;t
eat fats. Fruits &amp; veggies contain vitamins &amp; minerals,
necessary for recovery from your workouts. And carbs fuel your muscles
so you feel full of energy at the gym.
Lots of you struggle to get these foods. Sometimes because you&rsquo;re
too busy or sometimes because you just lack information. This list will
help you &mdash; 20 super foods you need to build muscle &amp; lose fat.

1. Whole Eggs. Cheap &amp; rich source of
protein: 7g/egg. The yolk contains most nutrients: half the protein,
vitamins A/D/E and cholesterol to naturally increase your testosterone
levels.
Don&rsquo;t worry about cholesterol in eggs. Dietary cholesterol isn&rsquo;t bound to blood cholesterol. Read this, this, this &amp; this. If you have bad cholesterol, lower your body fat rather than throwing the yolk away.

2. Fish Oil. Reduces inflammation (joints/skin), lowers body fat and increases testosterone levels. You need 9000mg EPA/DHA per day. Since you&rsquo;ll probably struggle to get that from eating fatty fish, consider a fish oil supplement.

3. Wild Salmon. One of the best sources of omega-3 fatty acids that also gets you 20g protein per 100g serving. Farm raised salmon is, however, omega-3 deficient: it&rsquo;s corn/grain fed. Go with wild salmon.
4. Berries. Strong antioxidants that prevent
cancer, heart &amp; eye diseases. Any kind works: cranberries,
raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, etc. Buy fresh or frozen
berries and mix with oatmeal.


5. Yogurt. Contain bacteria that improve your
gastrointestinal health. Don&rsquo;t buy frozen yogurt or yogurt with added
sugar and fruits at the bottom. Get plain low fat yogurt. Eat it with
berries &amp; flax seeds.

6. Flax Seeds. Source of fiber, protein &amp;
omega-3. Grind the flax seeds to get the most out of them. Take 1 tbsp
with yogurt &amp; berries before going to bed. Stay away from flax oil:
it&rsquo;s unstable and contains no fiber.

7. Extra Virgin Olive Oil. 70%
monounsaturated fats that protect against heart diseases and cancer.
Add 1-2 tbsp olive oil to your salads. Buy Extra Virgin Olive Oil: it
contains more polyphenols and tastes better.

8. Mixed Nuts. Contain mono- &amp;
polyunsaturated fats, proteins, fiber, vitamin E, zinc, potassium,
magnesium, etc. Mixed nuts are caloric dense, great if you&rsquo;re a skinny guy who wants to gain weight.
Anything works: almonds, walnuts, cashews, hazelnuts, &hellip; Peanut
butter also works as long as you buy natural peanut butter without
added salts/sugars.
9. Red Meat. Protein, vitamin B12, heme iron, zinc,
creatine, carnosine and even omega-3 if you eat grass-fed beef. Eat

11. Spinach. One of the most alkaline foods.
Spinach prevents muscle &amp; bone loss, but also cancer and heart
diseases because of its high nutrient profile. Try one of the spinach recipes I shared a while back.

12. Turkey. If you don&rsquo;t believe saturated fat is good for you,
try white turkey. The leanest beef has about 4.5g saturated fat/100g,
while white turkey has close to 0g (that why it&rsquo;s so dry). Eat turkey
with spinach &amp; quinoa.

13. Quinoa. South American &ldquo;king of grains&rdquo;.
Quinoa is higher in fiber &amp; protein than rice or oats, tastes a lot
better and is gluten free. Buy the whiter grain, it&rsquo;s better quality.
Eat it post workout with meat &amp; spinach.

14. Oats. Reduce cholesterol, provide you with low-gi carbs for energy, and high in soluble fiber. Try this post workout shake of whey &amp; oats.

15. Tomatoes. High in lycopene,
which prevents cancer. The lycopene in tomato paste is 4 times more
bioavailable than in fresh tomatoes. Have pizza or pasta with tomato
sauce &amp; olive oil post strength training.

別輕忽孩子的頭痛問題！台北榮總研究發現，半數有慢性頭痛的青少年出現至少一種以上精神疾病，以憂鬱症、恐慌症最常見；兩成有高度自殺風險，家長及老師千萬不能太大意。
台北榮總昨天舉辦醫師節慶祝大會，一般神經內科主任王署君以「青少年慢性每日頭痛的精神病症及自殺風險」獲得「醫師學術研究論文獎」首獎。
王署君表示，他從五所公立國中共七九○○名學生(男生四一六八名、女生三七三二名)中，找出一二二名慢性頭痛病患，他們每月有一半或一半以上的日子都頭痛，平均每天痛兩小時以上，持續至少三個月，均由神經科專科醫師確診為慢性偏頭痛。
研
究發現，半數有慢性偏頭痛的青少年評估至少有一種精神疾病，憂鬱症比率最多，高達廿一％，即每五個慢性頭痛學生中，有一人罹患憂鬱症；有恐慌症的也不少，
比例達十九％。而統計同齡青少年憂鬱症盛行率約○．七％至四．八％、焦慮症盛行率為三．一％至九．二％。有慢性偏頭痛的青少年罹患精神疾病的比例明顯較
高。
他進一步以自殺想法或行為模組評量青少年自殺風險的高低，結果，兩成有慢性頭痛青少年具高度的自殺風險，常有輕生的念頭；罹患「預兆」偏頭痛的學生，他們的自殺意念會更高。
王署君說，預兆偏頭痛是頭痛之前，眼睛看見閃光亮點，身體一側沒力氣、或突然說不出話。這項研究首次發現預兆性偏頭痛與憂鬱症、自殺有較高關聯性。
王署君強調，只要發生偏頭痛，不論發生天數或時間長短，都會增加精神疾病的風險。
他建議，小孩如果經常頭痛，應盡速帶至神經內科就醫，透過預防性投藥治療，減少頭痛發生。若出現憂鬱或恐慌等精神疾病，須配合至精神科評估追蹤。

      <title><![CDATA[蛋白首選-乳清蛋白]]></title>

乳清蛋白（whey protein）
　　被稱為蛋白之王，是從牛奶中提取的一種蛋白質，具有營養價值高、易消化吸收、含有多種活性成分等特點，是公認的人體優質蛋白質補充劑之一。
　　來源：
　　乳清蛋白是從牛奶中提取出來的，牛奶的組成中87%是水，13%是乳固體。而在乳固體中27%是乳蛋白質，乳蛋白質中只有20%是乳清蛋白，其餘80%都是酪蛋白，因此乳清蛋白在牛奶中的含量僅為0.7%，可見彌足珍貴。
　　特點：
　　首先，在各種蛋白質中，乳清蛋白的營養價值是最高的。一般而言，必需氨基酸種類和含量齊全並能提供人體需要的蛋白質可以稱為優質蛋白質，也叫完全蛋白質。這裡提到了必需氨基酸的概念，必需氨基酸是指人體必需但自身不能合成，必須從食物中攝取的氨基酸。在植物蛋白質中只有大豆蛋白屬於完全蛋白質，但是大豆蛋白在吸收上不及優質的動物蛋白。乳清蛋白屬於優質的完全蛋白質，也是動物性蛋白。它含有人體必需的8種氨基酸，且配比合理，接近人體的需求比例，是人體生長、發育、抗衰老等生命活動不可缺少的精華物質。
　　第二，乳清蛋白較易被消化吸收，母乳中乳清蛋白含60%，酪蛋白含40%，故喝母乳的嬰兒糞便較軟，量也較少。另外，乳清中富含半胱氨酸和蛋氨酸，它們能維持人體內抗氧化劑的水準。還有許多實驗研究都證明，服用乳清蛋白濃縮物能促進體液免疫和細胞免疫，刺激人體免疫系統，阻止化學誘發性癌症的發生。所以乳清蛋白又是一種非常好的增強免疫力的蛋白。
　　第三，乳清蛋白中脂肪、乳糖含量低，但它含有&beta;-乳球蛋白、&alpha;-乳白蛋白、免疫球蛋白，還有其他多種活性成分。正是這些活性成分使乳清蛋白具備了有益於人體的諸多保健功能，因此它被認為是人體所需的優質蛋白質來源之一。
　　從營養學的角度來看，經動物性蛋白質來源的食物中含有對人體有害的過量飽和脂肪、膽固醇等有害物質，過量食用易導致人體脂肪和膽固醇升高，從而導致心血管疾病的發生。通過服用蛋白粉可以在補充蛋白的同時避免這些問題。再加上它服用方便，吸引利用率高，能減少腸胃負擔，所以服用蛋白粉是我們補充蛋白質的最佳選擇，而乳清蛋白則是我們選擇蛋白粉的首要考慮。
　　分類：
　　隨著產品技術的不斷開發和蛋白產品競爭的日趨激烈，乳清蛋白產品也逐步走向了多樣化，市場上已出現了濃縮乳清蛋白、分離乳清蛋白以及添加了蛋白肽類的乳清蛋白產品等。
　　1、濃縮乳清蛋白（WPC）
　　將乳清直接烘乾後，可得到乳清粉末，其中的乳清蛋白極低，一般為百分之十幾，不超過百分之三十。乳清經過澄清、超濾、乾燥等過程後得到的產物就是濃縮乳清蛋白。過濾程度的不同可以得到蛋白濃度從34-80%不等的產品。
　　2、分離乳清蛋白(WPI)
　　分離乳清蛋白是在濃縮乳清蛋白的基礎上經過進一步的工藝處理得到的高純度乳清蛋白，純度可達 90%以上。其價格昂貴，是濃縮乳清蛋白的2-3倍，但是它也更容易消化吸收。分離乳清蛋白的真正妙處在於它的營養價值，它擁有高含量的優質蛋白，能為某些特定需要的人群比如嬰兒和住院病人提供所需優質蛋白。此外，分離乳清蛋白所含有的生物活性化合物如&alpha;-乳清蛋白和&beta;-乳球蛋白、乳鐵蛋白以及免疫球蛋白，都為市場注入了新鮮的活力。
　　3、乳清蛋白肽
　　乳清蛋白肽是乳清蛋白的水解產物，是乳清蛋白的精華，它在機體中能更快地參與肌肉合成的過程。
　　從以上各種乳清蛋白產品的種類和作用我們可以看出，補充乳清蛋白不光是對於普通人群意義重大，對於活動量大的人們及從事各種不同類型的運動員或者是健美愛好者也有重要意義。因為運動人群對於蛋白質的需要量比常人需要量更高，而且運動後體內合成蛋白質的速率提高，因此他們更需要補充容易吸收的優質蛋白。乳清蛋白因為具有容易消化吸收的特性，能作為機體快速合成蛋白質的原料；同時，乳清蛋白濃縮物比目前研究過的任何一種蛋白質具有更高的生物價，所以乳清蛋白理所當然地成為運動員訓練必備的營養食品。

維生素不足的警告信號現實生活中，嚴重缺乏維生素的人不多，但陷於隱性維生素不足的人卻不少，如不重視，長期下去，則會由於維生素的缺乏而導致疾病。
一旦缺乏維生素，到底會有什麼病症呢？較為熟知的有：
維生素B1缺乏引起的腳氣病，維生素C不足壞血病，維生素A缺乏導致手夜盲症，維生素D缺乏帶來的佝僂病等。
如果你發現您自己或家人有以下情況或症狀的話，請不妨注意是否有維生素氣管的早期表現。

維生素A不足：
皮膚粗糙、瘙癢，指甲出現深刻的白線，頭髮乾枯，記憶力減退，心情煩躁及失眠，眼球結膜乾燥，泌尿道結石。
應多吃牛肝、雞蛋、紅黃色蔬菜、水果和魚肝油。
維生素D不足：
骨質軟化、兒童患軟骨病。
應多進魚類及蛋類、多曬曬太陽。
維生素B1不足：
對聲音過敏，對音響有過敏性反應，小腿有間歇性的酸痛，患腳氣病、神經性皮炎等。
應多吃豆類、穀類、硬果類、水果、牛奶和綠葉菜。
維生素B2不足：
口角發炎，出現各種皮膚性疾病如皮膚炎、陰囊炎等，手肢有灼熱感覺，對光有過度敏感的反應等。
應多進食肝臟、牛奶、雞蛋、豆類、綠色蔬菜。
維生素B3不足：
舌苔厚重，嘴唇浮腫，舌痛，唇痛，頭皮特多，口腔黏膜乾燥。

應多進食酵母。
維生素B12：
行動易失平衡，身體會有間歇性不定位置痛楚，手指及有麻刺感，應多進食動物肝臟及酵母。
維生素C不足：
無過度勞累、環境急劇改變或其他器質性疾病等客觀原因，但卻常感疲勞，常易感冒、咳嗽，抵抗力下降，牙齦經常出血，傷口難愈，舌頭有深痕等。
應多進食柑、橙、柚子、紅棗、酸棗等。
維生素PP(尼克酸)不足：
舌炎、皮炎、食欲不振、消化不良、嘔吐、頭暈、記憶力減退。
應多進食粗糧、綠葉蔬菜、肝臟、花生、蛋白質等。
另外，人體的外部器官也會發出維生素不足的信號。
口部信號：若發現口角發紅，長期乾裂，而且口唇和舌頭疼痛，你很可能是困營養不足而患上口角炎，若不注意，就會引起口瘡和淋巴結炎。
口角炎的成因多為缺乏鐵質和維生素B2(核黃素)及維生素B6造成。
人體內部說，缺乏這兩種維生素會引起貧血，影響人體的生長發育。補充辦法是多吃菠菜等綠葉蔬菜，常食豬肉、牛肉、肝臟、豆類等，也可服維生素B族營養丸。
唇部信號：
唇部開裂、脫皮、唇線模糊，是唇病的徵兆，說明你缺維生素B2及維生素C。
補充辦法是多吃青菜、柑橘、番茄、瓜果、馬鈴薯等，或服維生素B族營養丸和維生素C片。
舌部信號：
若發現舌頭過於平滑、味蕾突起發紅、舌尖兩側發黃或發白，說明你欠缺葉酸及鐵質。缺乏這燈物質，將導致骨髓內紅細胞的生產受到阻礙，從而引起舌炎、貧血、胃腸功能紊亂、生長發育不良。
補充辦法是多吃肝臟、菠菜、黑麵包並服用含有葉酸成分的維生素B族營養丸。
鼻部信號：
若鼻子兩邊油膩光亮發紅並常膠皮，說明你體內缺鋅。缺鋅會引起食欲不振和新陳代謝障礙。
不過大部分食品中都含有鋅，只要不偏食，缺鋅現象可以得到糾正，亦可服用含有鋅的多種維生素營養丸。
指甲信號：
指甲上有白點，表示缺鋅；指甲容易斷裂，說明缺鐵。鐵鋅、缺鐵有時可能會同時出現。
補充辦法是多吃菠菜、肝臟和豬、牛羊肉，服用含有鋅的多種維生素營養丸。
頭髮信號：
脫髮、頭髮拔出時無痛感、髮絲易纏卷，說明你缺乏維生素C和鐵質。而頭髮色澤變淺、變淡，是維生素B12偏低的信號。
缺乏維生素B12者體內紅細胞的生產和神經系統支委會受到影響。
調節辦法是多吃乳類食品、肝臟、魚類和豆類或補充維生素B族營養丸。
如果發現有上述現象，尤其是中老年人，最好請教醫生，不要自作主張亂服維生素藥片，否則對身體反而有害。
從保健資料中獲悉，專家建議補充維生素的最佳途徑是通過天然食品，而不是化學合成的藥物。
